Sales funneling, which is also known as multi-level marketing (MLM), is an effective business model that has been around for decades. The basic idea of sales funneling is to recruit salespeople who earn commission by selling you a product. Once they’ve sold you on their product, they continue to make commission from people in their downline — provided these recruits meet certain performance metrics.

In many ways, you want your sales page to function like an online store. This means it should have multiple product options, add to cart buttons for each of them, clear checkout process, and ideally some payment options (like PayPal). You can either sell your own product or promote other people’s products through affiliate marketing . In many cases there are courses on how to create e-commerce sites – pick one that fits your topic.

The thank you page is designed to convert new website visitors into email subscribers. After all, what’s your business without customers who will buy from you again and again? Send them to your landing page or squeeze page; with an incentive like a free report or guide, they’ll gladly opt-in in order to download their freebie.
Offer to Capture Email Address
In addition to offering something of value, an effective landing page also needs to have somewhere for your leads to enter their information. This can be in the form of an email capture form or a contact form, but you should try to avoid traditional signup forms if possible. Instead, offer some sort of value-added freebie in exchange for their information, such as an ebook. Remember that a lead magnet needs to be relevant, valuable and useful—not spammy!

It’s time to put your list building strategy into action! The first thing you want to do is make sure you have a solid list of your ideal clients/customers. It’s important that you add value by providing them with some sort of valuable content to get their attention so they are willing to join your email list.
Second Opt-in Checklist
Going one step further than an email opt-in, click funnels are another way to convert viewers into email subscribers. With click funnels, you can design a form or landing page in advance for your leads to fill out. This way, when they get to your page, you know immediately if they’re interested in subscribing to your emails; as opposed to hoping for them to make that decision on their own at some later point down the road.

- A freebie page can be used to provide something of value in exchange for an email address. Visitors land on your landing page and they are asked to enter their email address in order to download your free ebook, access a coupon or discount code, or sign up for your list. It's all about getting leads before you launch into your sales pitch. This strategy involves giving your potential customers valuable information that will help them solve a problem. These are called lead magnets, but you can call them whatever you want (such as free ebooks). The idea behind these lead magnets is that people need solutions to their problems, but they don’t know who to turn to in order to find those solutions. By providing your leads with solutions, you show that you can be trusted with their information. This builds trust, which over time will build your list as well.
List Building Strategy #2 - Facebook Group
One of my favorite list building strategies involves building an active Facebook group. Once you create your group, you can then create content that you offer exclusively to these members – including webinars, online trainings, etc. Building a community around your brand has several benefits that stem beyond loyalty - like search engine optimization (SEO) and increased conversions/sales.
List Building Strategy #3 - 10 Ways eBook
If you want to grab someone’s attention with an ebook, give them 10 ways to accomplish what they came to your site for. Instead of one product or piece of content, provide them with 10 (and upsell for each). Your list will love you for it. It’s like getting 10 products but paying for only one!
